Job Purpose: To manage a specified number of customer relationships within a designated business segment (by industry, region, territory, etc.) and to market the banks products and services to those customers and to prospective new customers with the objective of achieving stated business and earning goals. Job Facts and Figures: The position is responsible for customer relationship of a commercial and industrial nature, with credit facilities and other product/service needs of varying types and sizes. The number of relationships managed will vary according to business segment and size of customers, but will range 10 to over 50. Portfolio size will vary depending on experience but could be more than 500 million. Key Responsibilities • Manage the existing relationship to ensure proper delivery of products and services at or above established quality standards. • Solicit new business from existing and potential customers in accordance with specific objectives. • Serve as the principal point of contact between customer and bank and to maintain frequent contact with customers through a planned, documented call program. • Review financial position of existing and new customers to ensure credit worthiness and to obtain and evaluate any other information that may affect a customer‘s credit worthiness. • Establish new credit facilities and review existing credit facilities in accordance with the bank’s credit policies. • Prepare and present credit applications to the appropriate approval authority as stipulated in credit policy. • Maintaining an update on all upcoming projects. • Ensure that documentation related to approve credit facilities is obtained and maintained in accordance with credit policy. • Ensure that all accounts are regularized all the time. • Ensure the customer inquiries and correspondences are handled in a professional manner. • Supervise and train any subordinates as appropriate. • The Relationship Manager is responsible for booking assets in accordance with set procedures and guidelines, loan documentation review in coordination with lawyers and completion of the facility booking forms or drawdown approval forms. • The holder of this position will be expected to maintain contact with customers and in so doing will be expected to conduct meetings with customers both in the bank and at customer’s premises (domestically and overseas). While customer/prospect responsibilities may be assigned, the incumbent will be expected to use his/her initiative seeking guidance where appropriate to execute the key functions of soliciting and evaluating new business. He/She will be required to maintain direct contact with service providers and other business groups within the bank. Skills Requirement • Fluency in English and Arabic. • Knowledge of business practices and conditions. • Knowledge of project Finance. • Good interpersonal skills • Comprehensive knowledge of the multinational & local companies doing business in the GCC and handling projects. • Should possess effective communication and marketing skills with in – depth knowledge in multinational & local companies, cash flow and project finance. • Should be a team player. • Should be PC literate. Qualification and Experience • Bachelor Degree preferably in Business Administration or a professional qualification in banking or accounting. • Proficiency in accounting and ability to analyze accounts. • Should have minimum 6-9 years experience in credit and business development following completion of a credit training program.
